MBPS Parents and Citizens Association Marie Bashir PS P&C Association supporting learning and development together with students and staff to make a better community.

We are committed to a free public education system which is open to all people irrespective of culture, gender, academic ability and socio-economic class. We believe that students should be empowered to be contributing members of society. We are committed to parents and carers and citizens being partners in the education process. We work closely with the Principal and Staff, Department of Education and Communities and other educational stakeholder groups.

Greetings parents and carers,

Summer uniforms are back in store. Beat the start of Term 4 panic and get in before the seasonal uniform change over.

Also a reminder,
From the 1st October, there will be a small price increase on a number of uniform shop items.
This is due to:
1) New legislation introduced by the government that prohibits vendors from passing on the card surcharge. That’s about $2,000 of card fees per year.
2) Our suppliers have increased the cost price of stock over the last few years.
3) Our suppliers have either introduced a new delivery fee, or increased their delivery fees.

Unfortunately, this means we too need to increase our uniform prices.

The uniform shop volunteers have tried to source new suppliers (as you may note we’re now selling Trutex and Branded stock, which has the same, if not better quality and better pricing), and tried to buy in bulk to save on delivery fees.
We’ve kept our prices the same since September, 2019!!

The following items will be increased:
• Boy’s Summer Shirt $28 >> $30
• Boy’s Summer Shorts $28 >> $30
• Boy’s Winter Trousers $38 >> $40
• Sport Polo $49 >> $50
• School bag $77 >> $78
• Library bag $17 >> $18
• Excursion bag $17 >> $18

These new prices will not take effect until 1st October 2026.
We understand the cost of living is impacting everyone (including the volunteers!). Hence we’re giving parents plenty of notice, so that you can pop in store or order online now, to beat the price increase.
The uniform shop is open every Wednesday 9am – 10am, or online via www.mbpspandc.org.au

We are seeking volunteers for our Father's Day stall during week 7. It is our little tradition here that during the Father's Day stall we ask mothers, grandmothers and/or aunts to come assist so the students can keep their little gifts a surprise for Father's Day.

Dear MBPS parents and carers,

Our P&C meeting for the year is scheduled for June 10th, 2026, at 6.30 pm. It will be run in person at the school, but we will continue a hybrid meeting (link will be posted/updated here shortly). Everyone is welcome to attend and find out what the P&C has planned. We welcome involvement and suggestions, too.

Hope to see you at the meeting and we encourage those who can attend in person to meet in the school staff room.

Due to all this rainy weather, do you have a tonne of washing piled up?
Never fear!! The uniform shop has many good quality second hand items, buy extra pieces so you're never out of clean uniforms - all items $10 or under.

We have lots of second hand jumpers, size 4 - 16, for the cold winter days as well.

Pop into the Uniform Shop on Wednesdays 9am - 10am to pick up a bargain.

(Please note there's no exchange or refund on second hand items).
