📣 Moreton Kids Festival: Cancelled

Unfortunately, this week’s wet weather has put a dampener on the fun, and Moreton Kids Festival scheduled for Sunday, 14 June 2026 has been cancelled.
The safety of attendees, staff, volunteers, performers and event partners remains the highest priority, and this week's weather conditions has made the state of the grounds unsafe to proceed on.
We know this news is disappointing for many families and the community. We would like to thank you for your understanding and support.

A pioneering Council initiative to support the delivery of much-needed community housing will see a new 14-unit dwelling built in Morayfield.

The development will include a mix of one, two and three bedroom units and a shared space for tenants, providing long-term, stable accommodation for people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

While City of Moreton Bay has provided the land, Coast2Bay Housing Housing will deliver and manage the homes, and the Queensland Government is funding construction – a great example of what can be achieved through strong cross-sector collaboration.

It’s part of a growing pipeline of housing projects across City of Moreton Bay, with more planned and underway in Caboolture, Deception Bay and Mango Hill to support our community now and into the future.

Serving a little OOTD moment… featuring the must‑have accessory for every cat and dog: their ID tag! ✨🐾

It’s mandatory for all pets to wear an identification tag with your contact details when they’re out of the home, and it’s one of the simplest ways to help them get back to you if they ever go missing.

Registration, microchipping and a clearly marked ID tag aren’t just legal requirements, they help keep City of Moreton Bay’s pets safe. 💛

Lettuce help you turn over a new leaf… 🥬😉

You might think the garden goes into hibernation when the temps drop but that’s just brrr-ly true! Winter is actually a great time to grow your own fresh food at home. From leafy greens to hearty herbs, there’s plenty to keep your garden (and your plate) thriving.
