City of Marion

City of Marion Stretching from the Glenelg tramline in Glandore to the coastal suburb of Hallett Cove. All this against a backdrop of hills, open space and the coast!

The City of Marion is one of the state’s larger metropolitan councils and is located 10km south of Adelaide stretching from the Glenelg tramline in Glandore to the coastal suburb of Hallett Cove. Covering an area of about 55 km sq, the city has a population of approximately 85,000 residents and features 7km of coastline. Marion's population is showing healthy growth, due in part to overseas migrat

ion which welcomes newcomers from countries such as the United Kingdom, India, China, the Philippines, the eastern countries of Africa and many others. Being only a 20 minute drive to the southwest of Adelaide, the City of Marion offers easy access to a mix of ecological, cultural, sporting, leisure and shopping experiences.
