💙 MEN’S HEALTH MONTH | JUNE
June is recognised globally as Men’s Health Month—a time to raise awareness about preventable health issues and encourage men to prioritise both their physical and mental wellbeing.
At On My Feet, this isn’t something we focus on for just one week or one month.
It’s what we do every week.
Throughout June—and across the year—our program supports men and women experiencing homelessness and social isolation through structured movement sessions, strength training, and community connection.
This week, our participants from The Beacon The Salvation Army Australia joined our regular 7am Tuesday morning walk despite the cold and rain, followed by our weekly strength training session at Wellington Square.
These sessions do more than improve physical fitness. They help build routine, confidence, resilience, social connection, and overall wellbeing.
Last month, we also completed our 8-week Men’s Empowerment Program. Evaluation results and participant feedback showed measurable improvements in both physical and psychological wellbeing, reinforcing the positive impact that structured support, movement, and community can have on health outcomes.
For many people, better health starts with a simple step: showing up, connecting with others, and being part of a supportive community.
At On My Feet, we’re not just talking about men’s health this month. We’re actively supporting it through meaningful, consistent programs that build health, connection, and confidence.
