What a great morning we had celebrating Book Week at Kismet Park!

The gym was full of colour creativity and some seriously impressive costumes. So many students and staff got involved and bought their favourite characters to life.

Well done to our families for all the effort that went into the costumes. We know a lot of work happens behind the scenes.

Such a great way to finish off our Book Week celebrations!

A big thankyou also goes out to our sponsors, Ray White Sunbury and TheirCare for their continued support of Kismet Park.

Yesterday was a very special day at Kismet Park as we welcomed our newest little learners for their very first Kismet Kidlets session.

Our future Prep students had the chance to explore the school, meet new friends and begin becoming familiar with the routines and experiences of school life.

Kismet Kidlets is a 10-week school readiness program, designed to help children build confidence, independence and familiarity with school routines before beginning Prep in 2027.

The program will run over the coming weeks and finish with a special Kismet Kidlets Graduation Ceremony in the final week to celebrate the children completing the program.

A big thank you to our wonderful Platinum Sponsors Ray White Sunbury, for their ongoing support of Kismet Park Primary School and our school community.

Welcome to Book Week 2026!

This year’s theme is Symphony of Stories, and we’re ready to turn the page on a week full of fun, creativity and imagination.

Throughout the week, students will enjoy a range of activities, including book trivia, guessing the teacher behind the book, and designing their own book cover.

We’ll finish the week with our much-loved Book Week Parade, held in the school gym at 9:00am on Friday 28 August.

We look forward to seeing our Kismet Community there.

A big thankyou to our wonderful sponsors, Ray White Sunbury and TheirCare for their continued support of these events.

Last Friday, a team of our fantastic Grade 5/6 students proudly represented Kismet Park at the REAL Robotics event at the Dulap Wilim Hub.

Students worked together, learnt new skills and put their creativity and problem solving to the test. From coding and building to teamwork and collaboration, they showed just what Kismet kids can do!

Well done to our young innovators!

🛴 Our new Scooter Club has launched! 🛴

Thanks to a generous grant from Sunbury Connected Communities, we have purchased 10 new scooters and helmets for students to enjoy during the school day.

The club will provide a fun and safe way for students to stay active, build confidence and coordination, support self-regulation and enjoy time outdoors with their peers.

A huge thank you to Sunbury Connected Communities for helping us bring this exciting initiative to life!

We would like to congratulate our Boys and Girls netball teams that competed at the Northern Region Finals today. All students should feel exceptionally proud of their effort to reach such a high level of competition. Although results did not go our way today everyone put in their best effort and played some incredible netball.

Kismet Park is incredibly proud of the way you all represented yourselves and the school!

Thank you to Ray White Sunbury for sponsoring our bus to get us to and from the venue today.

We are excited to be taking part in the Schools for Nature Project, supported by Hume City Council and Microsoft, in partnership with the Grassy Plains Network.

Not only did our student leaders recently attend the Grassland Field Day, where they enjoyed hands-on learning about native plants, local grassland ecosystems and biodiversity… but the project has also supported the creation of a new grassy wildlife habitat garden at the front of our school, providing more opportunities for students to connect with nature and care for our local environment.

We look forward to watching our new habitat garden grow! 🌿
