Wonderful morning of creativity, connection and community at our Monday morning Art Therapy session with the lovely Judy from Artful Soul 🎨💜

There was plenty of laughter, meaningful conversation, cups of tea, and some truly beautiful artwork created. Along with our regular crafting time, it was such a gentle and uplifting way to begin the week together.

We’ll be doing it all again next Monday and would absolutely love more people to join us. No art experience needed at all — just come as you are.

Come along for a beautiful morning of sharing, caring, learning and community connection 💛

Bring the kids and join our wonderful master artisans and craftswomen as they showcase crochet, knitting, stitching, sewing and all things handmade. Whether you’re experienced or have never picked up a needle before — everyone is welcome.

✨ Want to learn how to sew on a button or hand stitch a hem? Bring it along!
✨ Curious about crochet or knitting? Come and have a try.
✨ Just want a cosy cuppa and good conversation? We’d love to see you.

We’ll have plenty available for everyone to try their hand at something creative if you don’t have your own materials to bring.

🎄✨ Handmade with love for our Christmas Stall ✨🎄

Our talented Lorelei has created this absolutely beautiful quilt, and it truly is something special. With its soft colours, floral charm, and incredible craftsmanship, this would make a treasured gift under someone’s Christmas tree. 🎁

A Sea of Poppies for Remembrance ❤️

A beautiful act of community and remembrance is unfolding.

QCWA members lovingly created a sea of 130 handmade poppies to contribute to the Coolum Beach Anzac Day installation. Each poppy has been carefully made as a tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our country.

Pictured here with the collection are Paula, Mari, Katherine, Marilyn, Judith and Norma, whose support and encouragement are helping bring this meaningful project to life.

Every poppy represents time, care, and gratitude - a small handmade symbol carrying a powerful message of remembrance.

These poppies will become part of a cascading memorial display for Anzac Day 2026, honouring sacrifice and ensuring the stories of our servicemen and women continue to be remembered.

🌿 Throwback to a Special Moment at Woodford Folk Festival 🌿

A few years ago now, our Maroochydore Branch was honoured to be invited for the most beautiful morning tea at the infamous Woodford Folk Festival 🎸 Tea House. A traditional tea and scones affair, with fine china atop a tablecloth lovingly sewn from vintage CWA tea towels. ✨

It was a joy to be surrounded by the incredible energy of the festival community and to share our own craftsmanship - handmade knitted and crocheted water-bottle holders, an eco-friendly option for the thousands of happy festival-goers. 💧💚

This heartfelt collaboration, Busk for the Bush, raised over $30,000 for rural families in need through QCWA’s Public Rural Crisis Fund - a testament to the power of local action and creative community spirit. 🌾💪

What a memory - and what a reminder of what can be achieved when kindness, art, and purpose come together.
