r associations who are tagged or posted about are appreciative of having their activities or services shown to the broader community. Please respect their group and activities by restraining lobbying efforts to my email or in messenger.
3. I will not respond to comments that are defamatory to other people or organisations. I have no control over their actions or decisions and as such will not support any negative or bullying comments.
4. Comments will be deleted if they are defamatory or contain offensive language.

Congrats to Our Moon's Mission + Genetic Cures for Kids on a fantastic event in Tickle Park this afternoon. Over the years fundraising has gone towards medical research for rare diseases. The focus now is to fund a medical trial.

Golden has done an amazing job putting the moonwalk event together. All my love to Tallulah and the family and I am hoping you receive a great result.

Fireside Chats at UniSC with Associate Professor Mick Fielding from We Move. You Shoot. .

Mick shared his many lessons and the process he went through with Raider Targetry developing from a university incubator business to an award winning defence business.

Great questions were asked and answered. Sharing information and collaborating with others only strengthens the business industries here on the Sunshine Coast.

Businesses like Raider Targetry being based in our region provides wonderful opportunities for future generations to develop their careers here on the Coast.

Our community grants program continues to be one of the most valued ways Council supports local organisations, helping deliver projects, events, activities and facility improvements that make a real difference across the Sunshine Coast. 🌟

Each round is highly competitive and often oversubscribed, reflecting the incredible work being undertaken by our not-for-profit sector. If you're considering applying, I encourage you to start preparing your application early and take advantage of the support available.

✅ Up to $15,000 for one-off projects, events and activities that deliver broad community benefit
✅ Up to $30,000 for infrastructure projects through the Community Facilities category

📅 Key dates
• Applications open: 24 August 2026
• Applications close: 6 October 2026
• Notification expected: mid-December 2026

📝 To help community groups submit the strongest possible application, the Grants Team is offering:
• Grants Planning and Writing Workshops (Bookings required. See link for details)
• Drop-in Sessions (No appointment needed, first come, first served. See link for details)

SES Area Controller Jason Pascoe and Rosanna Natoli officially handed over the keys for the Storm Damage Response Vehicle to the Coolum SES Group

The vehicle affectionately called Coolum 501 will be a great asset! It helps prepare the Coolum SES volunteers with the right equipment to respond to events similar to the Nov 2025 storm event.
