The Sutherland Shire Libraries page is maintained by the Community Engagement team. We support the Facebook Statement
of Rights and Responsibilities (www.facebook.com/legal/terms) and related policies, and request that visitors to our page do the same.
ℹ Sutherland Shire Libraries reserves the right to moderate public comments, this includes hiding or deleting comments that include:
• False or misleading statements or imagery about individuals, communities or Sutherland Shire Council
• Use of language or imagery that is obscene, sexist, racist, misleading or offensive
• Unauthorised promotion of external businesses for commercial gain
• Unlawful statements that could incite others to break the law
• Making threats to individuals or the Council
• Defamatory or harassing comments about Councillors, employees, volunteers or participants
• Information that may compromise the safety or security of our community or the Council
• Confidential information or proprietary information
• Breach of copyright or the privacy of others
• Links to petitions
• Repetitive or spam posts
• Any other inappropriate comments as determined by the moderators
Comments not adhering to the above will be moderated and potentially removed. If the content of a comment affects the enjoyment of the page for others, we may remove it. We take our legal obligations seriously and we will moderate contributions to our pages if they are considered by our team to contravene our legal requirements or violate our Policy. Repeated violations of this Policy may cause the author to be blocked from the social media channel.
