What a wonderful way to celebrate Children's Book Week! 📚🎉

A huge thank you to Robinvale District Health Services, Early Years Programs for visiting Robinvale Library last Thursday and hosting a special Book Week Playgroup. It was lovely to see children and families come together to share stories, explore books, and enjoy the fun activities.

Finish Book Week with a BANG! 🎉

Join us at Swan Hill Library tomorrow morning at 10:30am for a special Storytime session with Denise!

She'll be reading Derek – one of the CBCA Book of the Year shortlisted books – along with other fun stories and rhymes. 🎶📖

Plus, kids can get crafty and make their own little Derek fish bowl to take home!

Don't miss this fun-filled morning to wrap up Book Week in style. See you there! ✨

Storytime is a free session and children of all ages are welcome.

Our Citizen Science project for September and October is Clean Up Australia!

The Clean Up Australia mission is to inspire and mobilise communities to care for and protect our environment, eliminate litter, and end waste.

What started as a simple idea from an “average Australian” wanting to make a difference in his own backyard, has now grown to become the nation’s largest community-based environmental event.

Together, we can eliminate litter, reduce waste, and create a cleaner, healthier Australia for generations to come.

Auslan (Australian Sign Language) is a rich, vibrant language that plays an important role in helping Deaf and hard of hearing children communicate, learn, and connect with the world around them. Learning Auslan also helps build understanding, inclusion, and respect for the Deaf community.

Looking for a fun way to introduce children to Auslan? 💛 Check out the wonderful Platypus Playhouse Storybooks from Deaf Children Australia. Swan Hill Library is proud to be supporting The Nappy Collective, collecting unused nappies to help families experiencing hardship across Australia.

We are accepting:
✅ Open or unopened packs of nappies
✅ All sizes and brands
✅ Pull-ups and swim nappies (new and unused)

Simply drop your donations into the collection box at Swan Hill Library.
