Bittersweet one for Swansea 447 💛🔥
This week we said goodbye (for now) to our Deputy Captain Rhyss Grigg, who starts his journey as a full-time firefighter with Fire and Rescue NSW - something he’s been working towards for a long time.
Rhyss has been such a big part of our station. Calm, steady, and always there when it counts. He’s one of those people who just gels a team together without even trying, and that’s something we’ll really miss.
He’s kind, caring (to people and animals alike 🐾), and always up for a laugh. We couldn’t let him go without mentioning his impressive ability to sleep through the pager during the witching hour 😴 a talent we’re not sure will serve him as well in the next chapter!
We’re so proud of you, Rhyss. It’s not easy to see you go, but this is exactly where you’re meant to be.
Good luck mate — we’ll be cheering you on 👊See you on the fireground🔥
