A small school with a big heart and even bigger community support! ❤️ Blacksmiths Public School turned it on for first responders yesterday.
Thank you for having us, it’s always a joy to help educate and inspire the kids and build a stronger connection with our community.

Thank you to Blacksmiths Public School for having us today. We are always grateful to have opportunities to interact with our local community, share fire safety tips, and maybe even inspire the next generation of firefighters.

Our annual Open Day is back. Saturday 9 May 10am to 2pm, free entry.
Come and meet the crew, check out the truck, and go behind the scenes at your local Swansea Fire Station. There’ll be live demonstrations, fire safety info worth knowing, BBQ and plenty to keep the whole family busy. It’s a good day out. See you there!

Today, our 447 Swansea crew stood shoulder to shoulder with our community to honour those who have served and sacrificed.

We were proud to march in the Swansea ANZAC Day parade and take part in the service at Swansea RSL - a moment to pause, reflect, and remember the courage, mateship and resilience that continue to shape our nation.

Lest we forget. 🌺

This week we said goodbye (for now) to our Deputy Captain Rhyss Grigg, who starts his journey as a full-time firefighter with Fire and Rescue NSW - something he’s been working towards for a long time.

Rhyss has been such a big part of our station. Calm, steady, and always there when it counts. He’s one of those people who just gels a team together without even trying, and that’s something we’ll really miss.

He’s kind, caring (to people and animals alike 🐾), and always up for a laugh. We couldn’t let him go without mentioning his impressive ability to sleep through the pager during the witching hour 😴 a talent we’re not sure will serve him as well in the next chapter!

We’re so proud of you, Rhyss. It’s not easy to see you go, but this is exactly where you’re meant to be.

Good luck mate — we’ll be cheering you on 👊See you on the fireground🔥
