ASR is looking for a team member to join us within our finance department!
Your finance knowledge will allow you to work closely with our senior leadership team while we continue to grow and expand our services. You will receive training specific to the NDIS and develop skills around plan management.
With your strong client-centric focus, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and growth mindset, you will have the opportunity to work side by side with our Service Departments, Senior Management and Workforce team.
Our team is at an exciting stage! Your ability to think outside the square will be key contributions in our mission to provide true client focused supports to Australians living with disability and their support circles.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Work closely with Senior Leaders of the departments including day to day bookkeeping/reconciliation functions within Xero and the associated third-party software that feeds into the financial data of the business.
- Network with, build and maintain professional, customer-centred relationships and partnerships with both internal and external key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance requirements and other important areas are addressed and maintained within the department
- Implement financial and claims management processes in a timely and responsive manner
- Provide monthly financial reports to our Senior Leadership
Work together with the external accountant to ensure accuracy in the financial records and compliance with tax legislation
You Have:
- Ability to work with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders, and be flexible and responsive
Exceptional communication skills (clear and concise written and verbal communication)
- Fast rate of accurate data entry
- Ability to juggle tasks and strong attention to detail
- Evidence of an approved COVID Vaccination or a valid exemption from the relevant government health authority
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Hold a certificate IV or higher in Bookkeeping and have current registration in a relevant association (Bookkeeping or Accountancy)
- Are familiar with Xero or other financial management systems
- Booking keeping, accounting or administrative experience within an office environment
- Excellent Microsoft excel skills
- Excellent Reconciliation skills
- Ability to act on own initiative and exercise sound judgement
- NDIS experience. experience highly regarded
