The Consuls General of Germany, France and Poland in Sydney are proud to celebrate 35th anniversary of the Weimar Triangle!

It was established in 1991 in Weimar, Germany to symbolise unity in Europe after the fall of the communist bloc. It associates France, Germany and Poland and allows for increased trilateral cooperation and common positions on a wide range of topics.

With the goal of maintaining a high level of concertation to face global challenges, now the Triangle is committed to helping Ukraine, to defending EU values, and to deepening dialogue on key EU topics!

And the best part about it? You can attend all the games for free!

We swear we're not just encouraging you to go because the French team Les Gaillards Paris Rugby won the last cup 👀 but it might just be the cherry on top ✨🍒

🥳 Happy 75th anniversary Alliance française-Newcastle !

The Deputy Consul General of France in Sydney, Sami Bouakaze, was delighted to celebrate this anniversary on August 8th!

This number testifies to the dynamism of the Alliance and its unwavering commitment to promote French language, cultural dialogue between France and Australia and to strengthen the French and francophile communities in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. 🇫🇷🤝🇦🇺

We would like to thank and congratulate its Director Gwendoline Mooney and its President Marie-Laure Vuaille-Barcan, as well as all its volunteers, teachers and board members for their commitment!

Tous derrière Les Gaillards Paris Rugby ! 🏉🏳️‍🌈🇫🇷

Nous avons eu le plaisir de recevoir ce matin au Consulat cette équipe de rugby inclusive, qui vient d'arriver en Australie pour représenter la France lors de la IGR Bingham & Amanda Mark Cup à Brisbane. C'est le championnat du monde de rugby inclusif, qui a lieu tous les 2 ans et qui avait été remporté par les Gaillards lors de sa précédente édition !

🏆 Même si nous sommes persuadés que nos Gaillards vont ramener la coupe à la maison à nouveau, ils auront besoin de tout votre soutien ! N'hésitez pas à les encourager !

Welcome to Sydney’s French cultural agenda for August! After taking a break to focus on Bastille Day celebrations, your favourite series is back!

🎼 If you were looking for a concert featuring French artists, the talented Nicolas Altstaedt and Thomas Dunford will perform at the City Recital Hall, Sydney with Musica Viva Australia on August 8 from 7pm.

💬 If you want to reflect on human rights and freedom, you can go to Carriageworks for a discussion with the executive director of Human Rights Watch , Philippe Bolopion, as part of the Festival of Dangerous Ideas

🎬 If you want to watch French movies, we've got many options for you this month!
🎞️ The Golden Age Cinema & Bar cinema will screen five French movies throughout the month of August!
🎥 The Palace Cinemas will screen the movie Coulours of time, directed by Cédric Klapison, throughout this month.
🍿 Finally, the The Ritz, Randwick will screen the movie De Gaulle : Resistance, directed by Antoine Baudry, on August 23 at 4pm.
