Charlotte is our dedicated PWS Nurse Navigator at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. She works alongside children and families living with Prader‑Willi syndrome (PWS) - a rare, complex genetic condition that has profound, lifelong impacts on a child’s health and development (including their muscle tone, feeding, metabolism and appetite) and requires ongoing, specialised care and support.
Charlotte has recently begun distributing new care bags from the Prader‑Willi Research Foundation of Australia (PWRFA) to parents with newborns diagnosed with PWS.
Packed with care by PWRFA volunteers, the bags contain baby essentials, as well as special feeding bottles and feeding tubes. Each one is designed to feel like a warm hug and to remind families that they are not alone.
