NAIDOC Week is here, a time to celebrate the strength, vision and legacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the next generation carrying it forward.

It’s a powerful reminder of the stories, connections and culture that continue to shape this country.

At the Art Gallery, that spirit is alive in our current exhibit 'Yolŋu power: the art of Yirrkala', a moving tribute to generations of Yolŋu artists from north-east Arnhem Land. And our Yiribana Gallery offers a dedicated space to connect with First Nations artists year-round, as part of our permanent collection.
