Tomorrow marks the beginning of Alopecia Awareness Month. For Hallie, at just four years old, her world changed when she was diagnosed with alopecia.

Alongside the emotional challenges came a financial burden her family never expected, with custom-made wigs costing between $4,000 and $6,000.

What a moment for Layla Sharp🥈

Layla has won silver at the Commonwealth Games with an incredible 5.06m jump in the Women’s Long Jump T38, setting a new Australian record along the way.

Layla’s journey is especially meaningful to the Variety community. A previous Variety Heart Scholarship recipient, we first met her as a determined 10-year-old with big goals. Watching her grow, compete and now achieve this on the international stage makes us incredibly proud.
