This week, for National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Week, we celebrate the strength, culture, identity and voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
Every child deserves to grow up feeling proud of who they are, connected to their family, community and culture, and confident in the unique stories they carry.
For those of us who work alongside children, whether in early learning services, schools or the wider community, today is an opportunity to listen, learn and create spaces where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children feel seen, valued and supported to thrive.
We acknowledge the important role that culture plays in a child's sense of belonging and wellbeing, and we celebrate the next generation of leaders, storytellers and knowledge holders.
