📢 Reminder – P&C Father's Day Stall

Our P&C Father's Day Stall will be held this Thursday 3 September and Friday 4 September as we celebrate the wonderful dads, grandfathers and father figures in our school community.

🎁 Gifts are priced between $1 and $10 and are available while stocks last. Students are reminded to bring cash and a reusable bag to take their gifts home.

All funds raised will go toward school resources, facilities and programs, including our Breakfast Club. Thank you for supporting our P&C — we hope everyone finds a great gift to make Father's Day extra special!

Celebrating our amazing SASS Staff!
Our wonderful SASS staff (School Administrative & Support Staff) are truly the backbone of Harrington Street Public School! From welcoming families and supporting students to keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, they do so much to make our school the special place it is.
Their dedication, care, patience and hard work never goes unnoticed. We simply couldn’t do it without them!

Now it's time to prepare and resume training for our Summer PSSA teams!

Congratulations to Cruzel, representing HSPS and Horsley Zone as a member of the SSW Primary Boys Rugby Union team that played last week in Mudgee.
The team finished in 5th place, narrowly missing out on the quarter-finals.

Banksia Group 1 – Exploring, Discovering and Learning
Banksia Group 1 enjoyed a very exciting milestone – our first preschool excursion to the farm! The children loved meeting the farm animals and had the opportunity to pat chicks, rabbits, sheep, lambs and goats. We also enjoyed a tractor ride, passing the pond and beehives, and even had a turn at milking a cow!
Back at preschool, we extended our farm learning by exploring different farm animals and where our food comes from. We discovered how milk can be transformed into other foods and had fun making our own butter.
During Science Week, the children explored volcanoes and took part in an exciting volcano experiment. We have also been busy investigating movement by creating half pipe channels for balls, experimenting with different angles and discovering how to keep the balls rolling from one section to the next.
So many wonderful opportunities to explore, experiment, problem solve and learn together!

P&C Colour Run Update

🎉 Congratulations to Class 4N, our top fundraising class for Week 5 who earned the chance to slime a teacher — the chosen one being Mr Nguyen. A big thank you to Mr Nguyen for getting involved and taking one for the team!

🌈 As a celebration to mark the end of our fundraiser, the P&C Colour Run will be on NEXT FRIDAY, 4 September! Please ensure you've given your child permission to participate via School Bytes. Students can participate WITH or WITHOUT coloured powder.

Online fundraising (at myprofilepage.com.au) remains open until the day of the Colour Run, so there’s still time to reach your goals with just over one week to go!

💧 We look forward to seeing two new hydration stations installed at our school thanks to our community’s incredible fundraising efforts!
