Just before midnight, several 000 calls were received for a building fire at East Market Street, Richmond.
First arriving crews increased the response to a 2nd, then 3rd alarm due to water supply issues and numerous exposures under threat. Multiple sheds / garages were fully involved with the fire extending into a dwelling and the outside of other buildings. Crews gained the upper hand and extinguished the fire shortly after.

This afternoon, Police and Ropes Crossing firefighters attended a car fire in bushland at North St Mary’s. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Just before 1pm today, multiple FRNSW crews responded to a bus crash on Erskine Park Rd, Erskine Park. On arrival, crews found a school bus had collided with a tree. Thankfully, passing motorists and local residents had already starting helping the school students exit the bus and provided initial first aid. The driver was released shortly after.

A large number of NSW ambulance crews did an amazing job triaging and providing medical aid to all on board.

At 5:30am this morning, St Mary’s and Ropes Crossing firefighters responded to reports of a building fire at Whalan Reserve. On arrival, crews found a shipping container well alight. The container was forcibly opened and extinguished. Police were also in attendance and are investigating. The contents were destroyed.

Today, Ropes Crossing Firefighters attended a property at Dural for a snake in house call. This gorgeous Diamond Python was located, caught, assessed and released back into nearby bushland.
