Try it in Turkey Mince Lettuce Cups 🌯
✨ Turkey mince
✨ Garlic & onion
✨ Grated carrot
✨ Soy sauce
✨ A splash of sweet chilli
✨ Fresh herbs
✨ Lettuce leaves to serve
Brown the mince with garlic and onion, add the carrot, soy sauce and sweet chilli, then cook until everything is deliciously combined. Spoon into crisp lettuce leaves and top with fresh herbs.

🌈 Capsicum Colour Challenge! 🌈
Have you ever wondered why capsicums come in different colours? 🫑❤️💛💚🧡
Green, red, yellow and orange capsicums are actually the same veggie at different stages of ripeness! As they mature, they become sweeter and develop a different flavour profile.
💚 Green capsicums – crisp, fresh and slightly bitter with a classic “capsicum” flavour.
❤️ Red capsicums – sweeter, fruitier and often the favourite for roasting.
💛 Yellow capsicums – mild, sweet and bright in flavour.
🧡 Orange capsicums – sweet, juicy and somewhere between yellow and red.

🥘 Recipe of the Week: Corned Beef Cottage Pie 🥘
Looking for a budget-friendly meal that’s packed with flavour? This week’s recipe uses a pantry favourite — tinned corned beef!
✨ Corned Beef Cottage Pie ✨
A simple, hearty dinner the whole family will enjoy.
You’ll need:
🥔 4 large potatoes, mashed
🥫 1 tin corned beef, chopped
🧅 1 onion, diced
🥕 1–2 cups mixed vegetables
🍅 1 tablespoon tomato paste
🥄 A splash of Worcestershire sauce (optional)
🧀 Cheese for the top (optional)
Method:
Cook onion and vegetables until softened.
Add chopped corned beef, tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
Place mixture into a baking dish and top with mashed potato.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake until golden and bubbling.
A delicious way to turn simple ingredients into a comforting meal. 💚

Today we found rubbish left behind on a shelf — food wrappers, takeaway packaging and other bits that don’t belong in our aisles. 🗑️
A quick question… why? 🤔
There are no bins in store, so please take your rubbish with you and dispose of it at home. Our team works hard to keep Food & Life clean, safe and ready for everyone to shop.
A coffee cup, wrapper or piece of rubbish might seem small, but when it’s left behind it becomes someone else’s job to clean up.
Let’s show our community space a little kindness — because Food & Life belongs to all of us. 💚
