This International Youth Day, we’re highlighting the importance of helping young people better understand democracy and how they can participate in elections.

For young Australians preparing to vote for the first time in NSW, we’re committed to making electoral information clear and accessible.

Our Stakeholder Engagement team connects with Year 12 students and teachers through the NSW Parliament’s Student Leadership Program presenting information about democracy and how to enrol to vote.

Already 18 or turning 18 soon? Check your enrolment details or enrol to vote ahead of the 2027 NSW State election.

To mark International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, we’re sharing the story behind our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) artwork, “First Voices, Shared Futures”, by Aboriginal artist Amy Allerton, a proud Gumbaynggirr and Bundjalung woman from Tamworth, NSW.

The artwork reflects Amy’s cultural heritage and promotes understanding among communities. It represents a future where every voice is equally valued and respected, reflecting our ongoing commitment to listening, learning and building stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
