The Pakistan Auto Show brings together the entire auto engineering sector under one roof, creating unmatched opportunities for networking, collaboration, and growth. Next edition of Pakistan Auto Show 2026 will be held at Lahore International Expo Centre from 18-20 September 2026.
Based on previous editions, the event is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors, including parts manufacturers, component suppliers, auto enthusiasts, and affluent automobile buyers.

Mr. Qamar Zaman, Consul General, met Mr. Hassan Rasool, Vice President for Exports at Al‑Moiz Industries, Pakistan, on the sidelines of Fine Food 2026. Al‑Moiz Industries—traditionally engaged in sugar and steel—has recently expanded into the export of food products and ingredients. The company is developing a range of beet‑ and sugar‑derived ingredients for the baking sector and is targeting industrial‑scale manufacturers for export.

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Sydney is assisting Mr. Rasool by facilitating outreach to Australian food importers, bakeries, and other relevant industry stakeholders to support the company’s export initiatives.

The Consulate General of Pakistan, Sydney, was pleased to welcome Ms. Mona Khan, her son Mustafa, and Mr. Muhammad Yousuf, Guinness World Record holders and passionate endurance runners from Pakistan who met with Deputy Consul General Ms. Shanza Faiq.

The runners participated in the Sydney Marathon, carrying a powerful message of peace, humanity, resilience and unity. Their participation showcased the positive spirit of Pakistan on an international platform and highlighted the power of sport to bring people and communities together.

H.E. Mr Irfan Shaukat, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia hosted a networking event in the honour of the exhibitors of Fine Food 2026.
Twelve Pakistani food products exporting companies with the support of TDAP are participating in the exhibition, which is being held at Melbourne Convention Center from 31 August – 3 September 2026.
Exhibitors, importers and food distributors were invited to the event, which provided an opportunity to participants for exchanging ideas, sharing product details and was aimed at enhancing exports from Pakistan.

# Pakistan Showcases Food Products at Fine Food Australia 2026

H.E. Mr Irfan Shaukat, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia, visited the Pakistan Pavilion at Fine Food Australia 2026, accompanied by Mr Qamar Zaman, Consul General of Pakistan, Sydney, and Mr Wajid Hassan Hashmi, Consul General of Pakistan, Melbourne. He met with the Pakistani exhibitors and discussed opportunities to expand Pakistan’s food and agricultural exports to Australia.
The Pakistan Pavilion, organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), features 10 Pakistani companies: Golden Harvest Foods (Pvt) Ltd, Durvesh International, Fruiticana Foods, Kausar Rice & General Mills, Khairpur Foods International, RAD International, Vital Products Pvt Ltd, Matco Foods, Mojza and Co, Bell More Aromatics. In addition Igloo Ice Cream, and Hub Salt are also exhibiting in the Fine Food, 2026, privately.
The High Commissioner received feedback from the exhibitors on their engagement with Australian buyers and the opportunities and challenges they are experiencing in the market. He encouraged exporters to adopt a market-focused, long-term approach, with particular emphasis on building strong relationships with Australian importers and distributors.
H.E. Mr Irfan Shaukat also stressed the importance of consistent product quality and reliable supply to build confidence among Australian buyers and establish Pakistan as a dependable supplier.
The discussions also explored practical ways to strengthen Pakistan–Australia trade, including improving importer-exporter linkages and expanding market opportunities for value-added Pakistani food products.
Pakistani Mission in Australia will continue to support Pakistani exporters in establishing business connections with Australian importers and distributors and in converting participation in international exhibitions into sustainable export opportunities.

Mr. Tariq Mirza, Head of the Iqbal Study Circle, intellectual, writer and researcher, visited the Consulate General of Pakistan, Sydney, and called on Mr. Qamar Zaman, Consul General.

During the meeting, Mr. Mirza briefed the Consul General about his books, writings and research work. He also shared details of the upcoming Iqbal Study Circle event scheduled for 9 November 2026 and invited the Consulate to actively participate in the programme.

The Consul General thanked Mr. Mirza for the visit and appreciated his valuable contribution towards promoting Pakistani literature in Australia. He expressed the Consulate’s support for initiatives that strengthen cultural and intellectual engagement within the Pakistani community.

Mr. Farooq Awan, Country Manager of Fred Hollows Foundation, Pakistan and Ms Rashin Choudhry visited the Consulate General of Pakistan, Sydney, and met with Mr. Qamar Zaman, Consul General, and Ms. Shanza Faiq, Deputy Consul General.
Mr Farooq provided details of the Foundation, its international footprint and operations in Pakistan in the areas of eye health and community development. The Consul General appreciated the Foundation’s valuable work in improving access to eye care and restoring sight for communities in need.
