Christian McGowan and Alison Baker fell in love with a building that was never intended to be a home.

A 1930s brick industrial building in the NSW Hunter Valley's Dungog served as the region's water pumping station for about five decades.

It was a stark, graffiti-covered, warehouse-like structure when they came across it in 2022; a neighbouring stretch of giant pipeline that still carries water to regional centres downstream serves as a reminder of the building's previous life.

But the pair were determined to transform it into an inviting family home.

Back in 1990, Jenny Morris sat down with Molly Meldrum to talk about the challenges and triumphs of women in music.

The two-time ARIA Award winner began her career with the all-female band Wide Mouth Frogs before finding success with New Zealand group The Crocodiles, and later the new wave outfit QED.

She also recorded and toured with INXS and established a successful solo career with multi-platinum albums such as Shiver.

This year, Morris will be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame as part of the annual awards ceremony’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

A young mum in regional Western Australia discovered her dream wedding dress in a place she least expected.

It wasn’t in an expensive fashion house. Instead, it was sitting in her local op shop in the South West town of Donnybrook.
