Country Labor

Twelve years ago, Country Labor was formed to formally recognize the historic and vital role of Country Australia in the Australian Labor Party. To this day most people believe that the Party was founded under the Tree of Knowledge in Barcaldine in rural Queensland. Indeed, Labor has never formed government without representing a broad cross section of both city and country electorates. For decade

s, the Rural and Regional Committee within NSW Labor and local MPs like Eddie Graham in Wagga Wagga, Terry Sheahan in the Southern Tablelands, David Simmons in the Central West, Harry Woods on the North Coast and Peter Black in Broken Hill showed the public that Labor was the true voice for country NSW. This page, and all of its posts, are authorised by Kaila Murnain, Australian Labor Party (NSW Branch), L9 377 Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
