THE RACS NSW have opened their RACS NSW Essay Competition, where they want final year med students to contribute and write about the following prompt, “If tasked with establish a rural surgical service in Australia, how would you design it to ensure safety, equity and sustainability.”

The NSWMSC Student Survey is now open to students from ALL medical schools across NSW and the ACT. Your responses will directly guide statewide advocacy, policy discussions, wellbeing initiatives, internship support, and the issues we take to universities, NSW Health, HETI, government bodies, and professional organisations.

We cannot properly represent medical students without hearing from the people we represent.

This survey covers topics that matter to students, including:
• Placement poverty and financial pressures
• Clinical placement experiences
• Wellbeing and support
• Internship and workforce concerns
• Student opportunities and engagement
• Rural and regional training experiences
