WE NEED FIREFIGHTERS! πŸ”₯πŸš’

Want to serve your community? Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade is one of many Volunteer Brigades located across the State of New South Wales, Australia. The Brigade started life as North Springwood Bush Fire Brigade in 1963 and currently has approx. 50 operatio

nally active members with a reserve of approx. 150 people, with a total fire fighting experience in excess of 2200 years. The Brigade has adopted the Road Runner as its mascot which has been approved by Warner Bros. Our active members are linked by an alpha numeric pager system which is activated to enable members to respond to emergencies. It is also used as a general communications tool.

πŸš’ Thank you to those that came out to see us this morning. We had a great morning discussing all things bushfire, enjoying a snag and a look over the truck.

πŸ”₯ Thank you to our friends from SES, Fire & Rescue and Springwood Neighbourhood Centre that came out to visit the researchers and provide their input into bushfire safety resources.

πŸ’ Big thank you to Blue Mountains City Council for letting us use the park. The park has recently had an upgrade with some great new equipment for the kids, tables, chairs etc if you haven’t seen it, it’s worth a look.

πŸš’ Get Ready Weekend is only a few weekends away. If you missed us today, please come and see us at Winmalee Village Shopping Centre Saturday 19 September 9am to 3pm
