Beat the craving by distracting yourself with some household chores - unpack the dishwasher, do a quick vacuum, fold the washing.

It might not be the first thing that comes to mind, but many people find doing some 'hands on' chores is a helpful distraction technique, whilst also ticking the 'satisfaction' button too.
