We are the UNSW Aerospace Society, an AIAA Student Branch. We aim to connect students with each other and with industry through social and professional events!

AIAA UNSW is a student branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA). The student branch is based at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. AIAA is the world’s largest technical society dedicated to the global aerospace profession. With more than 35,000 individual members worldwide, and 90 corporate members, AIAA brings together industry, academia, and gove

rnment to advance engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. The student branch aims to promote AIAA within the university community and help facilitate links between professional industry and UNSW students.

AURORA, the Annual UNSW Rover Operations & Robotics Arena, is here! Design, build, and compete with your very own rover-inspired robot!

Your mission? Navigate a prepared competition track, collect rock samples, transport mission-critical payloads, and return safely before time runs out. Teams will have 120 seconds to complete the challenge and score points through collecting, supporting, and depositing rocks.

✈️🕹️ READY FOR TAKEOFF: FLIGHT SIM EXPERIENCE! 🕹️✈️

Ever wondered what it’s like to fly a plane? Come join us for AeroSoc’s Flight Sim Experience, where you’ll get the chance to take the controls on a realistic flight simulator and experience flying a plane for yourself. 🌤️

🗓️ Wednesday 5/8
⏰ 3–5 PM
📍 Location will be emailed to successful applicants (EOI form in bio)

What’s in store?
✈️ A chance to fly a realistic flight simulator
👥 Groups of up to 3
⏱️ 15 minutes at the controls
🚀 A hands-on flight sim experience
🙌 No experience required

📋 You must fill out the Expression of Interest form to attend
⏳ Spots are first come, first served
❗ Submitting the EOI does not guarantee a spot if allocations are already full
