Support adolescent girls as they navigate life’s complex challenges through the delivery of evidence informed programs a

nd engaging our community. WHO WE HELP
We work with school counsellors, youth workers, community service caseworkers, welfare agencies and police enforcement to identify girls in the greatest need of education, support and guidance. HOW WE HELP
We recruit, screen and train successful female volunteer mentors (Big Sisters) to partner with ‘at-risk’ teenage girls and support them through a structured year-long mentoring and education program. IMPACT
We empower Little Sisters to make positive choices for a better future by equipping them with crucial survival and life skills, the resilience to overcome challenges, in an environment that fosters self-worth.

Thank you to all our amazing Big Sisters, Little Sisters, supporters, family and friends for making Graduation such an incredible experience yesterday. We heard so many incredible stories from our articulate, thoughtful Little Sisters about the impact the program has had on them this year, and we can’t wait to see the amazing achievements in their futures. Officeworks has been an incredible partner to Sister2sister Foundation; supporting us with fundraising and also providing stationery needs for everything from our training days for Big Sisters, to life skills workshops for Little Sisters, and craft materials, colouring and other mindful activities at camp and any of our outings. It's so important to be able to take time out if needed, and the support from Officeworks has meant that we've been able to offer a relaxing, sensitive space for our girls to use throughout the program.

is two days away and the thank yous are continuing (and will do for days to come!) Today a huge shout-out to the KYUP Project for their ongoing support for Sister2sister Foundation. The KYUP! Project is a groundbreaking, evidence-based initiative that confronts the alarming rates of violence against women and children in Australia. Shockingly, intimate partner violence is the leading cause of preventable death for girls aged 15 to women aged 44. To combat this issue, their programs and workshops focus on building self-worth and self-defense skills. So far, they have empowered more than 10,000 young individuals throughout Australia and New Zealand - including our 2024 Big and Little Sisters. One of our favourite outings this year was to OzHarvest where we all cooked simple, nourishing and incredibly tasty meals. Not only was this fun and GREAT to do in teams, OzHarvest also provides valuable life skills in providing education on nutrition and cooking.

Applications are now open for the Semester 1 2025 OzHarvest Nourish Program, a hospitality-focused pathway to engagement and employment for young people aged 16-25 who face barriers to education and employment. OzHarvest partners with Allara Learning to deliver this program, facilitated by qualified chefs and industry professionals - and it's free of charge for participants.

Goodman Fielder has supported Sister2sister Foundation for a long time - providing use of their meeting space for facilitating training sessions for our Big Sisters as well as a number of workshops through the years, and catering a number of our monthly outings. You might fly under the radar but we're so grateful for your support; it helps make the whole program a success (and we love trying some of the new products as well!)

The articulate young women from Consent Labs ran two sessions with our Little Sisters in 2024; the first on consent and the second on healthy relationships. Both sessions resulted in thought-provoking discussion among both Big and Little Sisters, with tips taught that are beneficial in building healthy relationships - whether with a partner, friends, family or at work - no matter your stage of life.

We really must give the biggest shout-out to the team at Luna Park Sydney who not only gifted entry and rides for our Little Sisters, but also provided tickets to the amazing Dream Circus and Sonic Neon exhibitions. Everyone was blown away by the quality and scale of these, and loved hanging out (in many cases upside down!) on the rides all afternoon. Having learnt about fight / flight / freeze that morning, it was an ideal way to work out our natural stress responses!

All of our outings with our Little Sisters start with a session on life skills, so while we're often doing fun stuff it's really important that we have a great venue that enables us to hold a great workshop first. For our first outing of the year, the team at Four Hundred Bar & Kitchen offered up their gorgeous space for us to introduce the girls to the stress responses of fight / flight / freeze and some tactics on how to manage them. It was a fantastic location and they also helped out with catering for lunch! Thanks so much team for an awesome start to the program.

Our Story

Life Changing Experiences Foundation offers youth support programs. Its primary initiative is the SISTER2sister Program. The SISTER2sister Program – a 12 month mentoring program for teenage girls at risk of abuse and/or neglect which provides the girls with professional positive female role models to inspire and motivate them through a goal setting and achieving program to make a difference to their lives. This program is currently running in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area (NSW).
