Over the weekend Scout Heritage NSW put on a display at the 2025 Gilwell Reunion held at Pennant Hills Baden-Powell Activity Centre as part of the NSW state activity.
A bespoke display was chosen by Joe Attard (State Commissioner for Heritage) including a number of exclusive items
A buffalo skin (one of 4 in the world) that was gifted to Australia in 1924 from the Jamboree in Denmark was on display. The skin was then inscribed with all the wood badge courses held at Pennant Hills since that time and included signatures of 1st Lord Baden-Powell, Lady Baden-Powell (Olave), Peter Baden-Powell (2nd Lord BP), Heather and Betty Baden-Powell in 1931.
A bespoke copy of Dinizulu's necklace (of which the Wood Badge is connected) made by a Hume Region leader plus a number of BP related items, Wood Badge and Gilwell heritage items.
Over 100 people visited the display and provided positive feedback. Please enjoy the pictures from the display.
