Remembering a valued member of Scouts NSW and a friend to Scout Heritage NSW, The Late Jeff Harrison OAM who passed away today. Sending our love and best wishes to June Harrison OAM and family at this sad time and thanking Jeff for his many years (over 55 years) service to Scouting. Jeff also spent some of this time supporting and helping the Scout Heritage NSW team as a member and supporter.

It is with much sadness we would like to inform Our Scouting colleagues that Jeff passed away last night.
His long service to Scouting in NSW and beyond is a testament to his committment and the wonderful man he was.

He will be missed as a friend to many and as our Region Executive President for the Riverina.

Congratulations to our State Commissioner (Scout Heritage Strategy) Sean 'Yoda' Langshaw OAM JP on his 30 years as a Leader in Scouting!

Scout Heritage NSW is continuing to operate and provide displays and visits to groups.

Our NSW Scout Heritage Collection is protected and safe at the moment and we have some really positive plans moving forward to ensure the Scout Heritage NSW brand reaches more youth members, groups and events through our displays.

If you wish to donate items to the collection please contact the State Commissioner (Scout Heritage Strategy)via [email protected] and we can make arrangements to collect your donation. Alternatively donations can be dropped off to our State Office.

In the first instance, always send a message to Sean Langshaw via email to ensure that we can let State Office know that you might be dropping items off for the collection.

Scout Heritage NSW will be working in collaboration with Hume Region Scout Heritage Team at the Hume Region Humeoree activity in September at Glenfield Scout Activity Centre.

Back in the 1960's a wonderful example of the Areas and Country Districts emblems of NSW was created (see attached pictures of the booklet) that covered all areas and districts of NSW at that time.
On card No 4, you will see the 1960's version of the Hume Area badge on display.
One of these recently came up for auction on eBay
