Our Year 11 and Year 12 Earth & Environmental Science students recently enjoyed an exciting visit from Australian Earth Science Education (AusEarthEd).
Year 11 students explored minerals, rocks, sediments and soils through a range of hands-on activities. They learned how to identify different rocks and minerals and investigated the distribution of important Earth resources across NSW.
Year 12 students applied their knowledge of natural hazards, including earthquakes and volcanoes. Through practical activities, they investigated magma viscosity and its influence on volcanic eruptions, and put their engineering skills to the test by designing and building earthquake-resistant structures.
A huge thank you to Australian Earth Science Education and their supporters for providing such an engaging and educational experience for our students!
