Together for Nepal: ANTA Flood Relief Support 🙏

On behalf of the Association of Nepal Terai in Australia (ANTA), I would like to sincerely thank everyone who came forward to support our Nepal Flood Relief Appeal.

We are truly grateful to announce that, through the generosity and kindness of our community, we have collected a total of $6,273 to support people and families affected by the devastating floods in Nepal. Every dollar donated represents someone who chose to stand with Nepal during a time of great hardship.

I extend my deepest and most sincere gratitude to: ANTA Members, Bangladesh Hindu community members, Business and Organisations and every individual donor.

As President of ANTA, I am deeply proud of the unity and generosity shown by our community. This response demonstrates that when we come together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of people in need.

With deep sadness, we have decided to cancel this year’s Sakhi sang Teej due to the devastating flash floods in Nepal, particularly the tragic situation affecting communities and families.

At this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this disaster. Instead of celebrating, we believe it is more appropriate to stand together in solidarity, compassion, and support for those in need.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and thank everyone for your understanding and support. 🙏

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our Rakesh Kumar Patel, from Parsa, Nepal,who was cuttently living in Launceston,Tasmania, Australia.

Rakesh's sudden passing has left his family, friends, and the community heartbroken. His parents and loved ones in Nepal are devastated and wish to bring him home so they can perform his final rites according to their Hindu culture, traditions, and religious beliefs. Being able to say a final goodbye and conduct these sacred rituals is deeply important to his family.Every donation, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden on Rakesh's grieving family during this incredibly difficult time. It was wonderful to see our community come together to share the blessings of Iftar, strengthen friendships, and celebrate the spirit of togetherness and gratitude during this holy month of Ramadan.
