🌟Latest NDIS Updates – August 2025 🌟
We aim to keep our community informed about the latest changes to the NDIS.
✅ Funding Periods – From 19 May 2025, NDIS plans will gradually transition to quarterly (3-month) funding periods, providing participants with greater flexibility to manage their budgets.
✅ Pricing Changes – From 1 July 2025, the new NDIS Pricing Arrangements & Price Limits took effect. This includes updated price caps for therapy supports and an extension of early childhood supports up to age 9.
✅ Legislation Changes – From October 2024, the NDIS Act reforms were implemented, introducing clearer plan formats, a formal definition of what the scheme funds, and improved access pathways.
✅ Future Reforms – A new $2 billion Thriving Kids program is scheduled to launch in 2026, providing foundational supports for children with mild developmental delays or autism outside the NDIS.
✅ Equity in Focus – The NDIA is also developing a Gender Equity Strategy to make the scheme fairer and more inclusive.
📌 These updates are being rolled out gradually — you won’t be affected until you receive a new or reassessed plan.
