Sometimes the people we serve end up ministering to us.

Last night, one of our volunteers asked a gentleman a simple question:

“How was the meal tonight?”

His response caught us off guard.

“It was very nice, but I’ll tell you why… because you prayed before the meal. You said grace. You prayed the Our Father.”

In that moment, our volunteer was speechless.

We often focus on the food we prepare and whether we’ve done a good job serving it. But last night was a reminder that it’s not just about the meal — it’s about the prayer, the love, and the presence.

God is the one working through this service.

Sometimes we think we are the ones serving… but in reality, we are the ones being served 🤍

Hi everyone 🤍

We are so excited to announce our very first COCOS Dinner as we celebrate 30 years of COCOS on Sunday 30th August! 🎉

This will be a special evening as we bring together all of our volunteers — past and present — to honour the incredible impact made over the last three decades and celebrate this milestone together.

At COCOS, we offer more than services. We offer connection. We offer love, we offer hope, and a reminder that Jesus loves you. This celebration is a reflection of that mission and the many lives touched along the way.

Tickets will be released after Easter, so for now please save the date in your calendars. We would greatly appreciate your support in keeping this date clear of other church events and sharing this with anyone who may be interested in sponsoring the evening.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you all ✨🥰
