✨ Weekends Away That Meet Everyone's Needs ✨

What an amazing Men's Weekend Away! Led by one of our incredible male support workers, who is also a fantastic mentor, the group enjoyed a perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, connection, and independence.

With his calm, supportive approach, the men were able to unwind while enjoying some exciting activities, including visiting Maleny Bird World, laser tag, kayaking, exploring local markets, and of course, eating plenty of delicious food.

One of the highlights of the weekend was seeing everyone work together to prepare and cook their own breakfasts, lunch, and dinner. It was a great opportunity to build independence, teamwork, and confidence while creating lasting memories with friends.

The weather held off for us in Brisbane on Saturday for our horse riding adventure 🐎☀️

What an amazing day out enjoying the outdoors, spending time with friends, and trying something new! There’s nothing better than getting outside, having a laugh, and making great memories together.

🗺️✨ Brisbane Weekend Away Adventure Planning Complete! ✨🗺️

One of the best parts of our weekend away adventures is that participants get to have a real say in what they do! This week, our three participants and their group leader worked together to create an itinerary for their upcoming adventure to Maleny and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. 🌿🏞️

The group discussed ideas, shared interests, researched activities, and planned a weekend that everyone is excited about. While the itinerary remains flexible and can change based on group choices and the weather, here is what they have come up with so far:

🌿 Friday
• Explore the Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World
• Check in to accommodation
• Dinner out together
• Laser Tag fun

🛍️ Saturday
• Visit local markets in Montville or Yandina for breakfast and exploration
• Food shopping for the weekend
• Lunch and some downtime at the house
• Kayaking in the Noosa Hinterland
• Cook homemade burgers for dinner
• Firepit, relaxation, and stargazing under the stars ✨🔥

🍩 Sunday
• Cook breakfast together
• Check out of accommodation
• Explore Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve
• Visit Kenilworth for lunch and a look around (including the famous donuts!)
• Head home with lots of great memories

We can't wait to see this adventure come to life. A huge well done to the group for working together, sharing ideas, and creating a weekend that reflects everyone's interests. 😊
