Our children spent National Reconciliation Week learning, creating, and asking big questions. What does it mean to be “all in” for each other? For our children it means sharing, listening, and celebrating the oldest living culture together. Our preschoolers are exploring modern Aboriginal art in our local area. They are learning how traditional stories and art symbols still influence today’s artworks. We have viewed artwork, discussed what the symbols mean, and are creating our very own artwork inspired by these ideas. This helps children understand culture, storytelling, and creativity.

All our educators have recently completed a nationally accredited First Aid and CPR refresher with Darren from Hills First Aid Training with training specific to early childhood education and care. Having all staff trained ensures that there is always a qualified educator on site who can respond quickly and confidently if an incident occurs. It also supports our commitment to the National Quality Standard Quality Area 2 – Children’s Health and Safety. Your child’s safety and wellbeing is our highest priority. This refresher helps us maintain current skills, meet regulatory requirements, and give you peace of mind knowing your child is in safe hands.

Autumn vegetable, herb and flower planting in our Love of Learning garden. Gardening for children fosters physical, mental, and emotional growth by improving motor skills, promoting healthy eating habits, and teaching patience and responsibility. It encourages curiosity, connection to nature, and provides a, tactile, hands-on learning experience that builds self-confidence and provides a sense of calm.

Our preschoolers and vacation care children enjoyed a delightful excursion to Flower Power, accompanied by educators and wonderful parent and grandparent volunteers. They soaked up the sunshine on their walk to the gardens, meeting our local postman on the way. They learned about garden insects and engaged in a hands on tour of the nursery, before potting their own marigolds. It was a truly enriching experience.
