A positive start to the morning can make all the difference.

In 1/2J, familiar morning routines help students transition into the classroom, settle in and prepare for the day ahead. Through activities such as pattern recognition and fine motor skill tasks, students can ease into their learning in a calm and familiar environment.

These little routines help build confidence, encourage independence, and allow students to develop important skills, all while helping them feel settled and ready to learn.

What a wonderful way to kick-start the school day, 1/2J!

Congratulations to the 50 students from Years 3–6 who participated in this year’s Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee last term.

This online competition challenged students to put their spelling skills to the test with a range of tricky words.

Well done to our class champions, who achieved the highest scores in their respective classes: Piper, Jackson, Alexis, Ruby, Brooklyn, Darcy and Annabelle.

A special congratulations to Alexis, our school champion, who qualified for the state finals, placing in the top 500 students in Queensland!

We are proud of all students who participated and congratulate them on their efforts and achievements.

A big Taabinga thank you to Andrew from South Burnett CTC Inc for joining us as last week’s Reading Ranger.

Andrew is a firm favourite with our students, and it’s easy to see why. His enthusiasm and lively performances bring stories to life, making reading an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Thanks for sharing your love of reading Andrew, and thanks to our friends at CTC for their ongoing support of our Reading Rangers program.

🤫 You could have heard a pin drop in 5B this morning.

Our 5B students were hard at work tackling their Maths assessment on Chance, showing fantastic focus and determination as they worked to do their very best.

It was wonderful to see everyone giving it their all and taking pride in their learning.

Great job, 5B! We’re proud of your efforts.
