ATTENTION. please be advised that the property to North West of Tallong Park that has been burning this week has notified of more large pile burns this weekend. He has all the appropriate equipment and is in communication with the RFS.

Tallong RFS, along with assistance from Marulan RFS, has responded to reports of a fire behind Tallong Park. This is a control pile burn by the property owner. No need to panic it will burn for 5-6 days.

🔘 BODY LOCATED IN SEARCH FOR MISSING MAN

A body has been located in the search for a missing man in the state’s Southern Tablelands.

Officers attached to The Hume Police District commenced inquiries to locate a 26-year-old man on Thursday 4 June 2026 after he was reported missing on a property in Windellama.

Following extensive inquiries and a land search, a body – believed to be that of the missing man – was located in Windellama yesterday (Friday 5 June 2026).

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

Approximately 27 RFS volunteers from numerous brigades including 4 volunteers from Tallong, attended a property at Windellama Friday 5th in search of a missing man. There were also approximately 12 volunteers from the SES and the police.
