🔥 Free Pre-Season Property Walkthrough🔥

Not sure what you need to do to prepare your property for the upcoming fire season?

The Shire is offering FREE pre-season property walk-throughs with our Ranger to help residents understand their fire hazard reduction and compliance requirements before the season begins.

During the walk-through, we can:
✅ Talk through the requirements that apply to your property
✅ Identify areas that may need attention
✅ Answer your questions about firebreaks, Asset Protection Zones and fire hazard reduction
✅ Help you understand what needs to be done before the compliance date

This is a great opportunity to get on top of your property preparation early and make sure you know exactly what is expected.

📅 Walk-throughs are available by appointment.

📞 Contact the Shire on 9825 3555 to arrange a time with Ranger Steph.

🌺 Vietnam Killed in Action Grave Site Commemoration 🌺

Yesterday, members of the community, Shire staff, Councillors and the Waters family gathered at Tambellup Cemetery for the 2026 Vietnam Killed in Action, KIA, Grave Site Commemoration, honouring Private Brian David Waters of the 6th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment.

Private Waters served in Vietnam and died from wounds sustained during Operation Bribie on 17 February 1967. He was just 22 years old.

The graveside service included a poppy tribute and provided an opportunity to remember Brian’s service and sacrifice, his connection to Tambellup, and all Australians who gave their lives in service during the Vietnam War. 🇦🇺

It was especially meaningful to have members of the Waters family with us for the commemoration.
