A huge congratulations to Myla and Holly for participating in the 32nd Golding Showcase – Port Curtis Callide Valley Youth Art Exhibition! 👏💙💛

It is wonderful to see our talented students sharing their creativity and having their artwork showcased alongside young artists from across our region.

💙✨ Wellbeing Wednesday – Belonging & Hope ✨💙

What a wonderful Wellbeing Wednesday! Today, our students enjoyed taking some time out during second break to connect, have fun and focus on wellbeing.

There were plenty of smiles as students explored the activities organised by our fantastic Wellbeing Team, including lawn games, friendship bracelets, Hope Rocks, chalk art, affirmation jars, the photo booth, live music and more! 🎨🎶📸

It was lovely to see students interacting, laughing, creating and spending time together – a great reminder of the importance of belonging, connection and looking forward with hope. 💙

A huge thank you to our Wellbeing Team for creating such an enjoyable experience for our students.

Parents and carers are warmly invited to join us for an informal conversation with Brenda Quayle, our RealSchools Expert Facilitator, about something many families are navigating every day — parenting teenagers and working together with the school to support them.

This isn’t a presentation or formal workshop. It’s a relaxed opportunity to sit down together, share experiences, ask questions and talk openly about some of the challenges that can come with raising and supporting teenagers.

Brenda will draw on her experience working with schools and families to explore topics including:
💬 Communication
🤝 Relationships
🚦 Boundaries and behaviour
🏫 How families and schools can work together when things get tricky

🏐 Interschool Mixed Netball 🏐

What a fantastic afternoon of Interschool Mixed Netball for our Tannum Sands SHS students last week 💙💛

We had five teams representing Tannum Sands, with students from Years 7–12 taking to the court and showing plenty of teamwork, determination and school pride.

It was great to see students working together, communicating on court and supporting each other across every game. Our players continued to develop their passing, movement, positioning, defending and decision-making skills, while gaining valuable experience against a range of teams.

Most importantly, our students demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship, resilience and a willingness to learn, encouraging their teammates and representing Tannum Sands with pride.

A huge congratulations to all of our players for their efforts and commitment, our coaches for their time, our umpires for stepping up and parent/carers for your support. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying their netball, developing their skills and working together as a team. 👏🏐

💙 Wellbeing Wednesday – Belonging & Hope 💙

This Wednesday (September 2nd) at second break, our Wellbeing Team is bringing students together for a special Wellbeing Wednesday focused on Belonging and Hope.

Students can head to the Art Block precinct and enjoy a fantastic range of activities including lawn games, hope rocks, friendship bracelets, chalk art, a photo booth, affirmation jars, wellbeing activities, live student music and the Mission Hope: Future Survival Challenge! 🎨🎶📸✨

It’s all about taking time to belong, connect, have fun and look forward. We can’t wait to see our students getting involved! 💙
