Today marks the final day of Seeds Of the Future Learning Community 🌻 🌻 🌻
Wow! What an absolutely amazing 2 year journey we have had!
Genny and I would like to thank Debbie, Rachel Altenbacher, Maryanne Warner and Greta for all volunteering their time and helping us to create amazing memories!

Get ready for a photo drop! Brought tears to my eyes looking back on our memories together!
Thankyou to all our beautiful children and their families who believed in us and our vision!

This is a journey both Genny Jiva and I will remember for the rest of our lives.
Also a special mention to Jadranka and James for helping to initiate Seeds of the future, without your time, effort and contributions, we could have never opened.
Keep on growing, making, creating and believing in the magic of the human spirit! We certainly will! 🌻 🌻 🌻

Term 4 week 1 🌻 🌻 🌻 Ocean Warriors, pumpkin bread, Dr Zeuss, fine motor skills, seed saving and planting, gardening and music with Greta and Maryanne! See you all next week, remember hats and a change of clothes/swimmers for lots of water play☺

This is a fantastic school holiday program, run by Rachel Altenbacher one of our beautiful Seeds volunteers.
It's so wonderful to see these children getting outdoors and immersing in nature!

Today Genny brought in a beautiful book called, "The other way to listen", it teaches about listening to nature and being still and quiet, about energy and taking the time to immerse yourself in nature.

We had planned on planting our seedlings, however with such a hot day, we decided it would be much more fun to play under the hose!!!

The children all enjoyed sharing news that they brought in!
Finn and Ria discussed abstract art and painting scenery using differnt colours to what we see.
Thankyou to one of our families for bringing in oranges fresh off their tree. We cut them up and froze them for the perfect treat on a hot day!

We enjoyed reading many books and indoor games away from the heat!

Today our Seeds created a card and wished Genny a happy birthday for Saturday!

We enjoyed music with Greta and are practising our song and performance!

Reading was a must today, with the children showing great interest in our levelled reading books.

The children took turns showing news that they brought in to share with us all and Ria and Genny had some news to show too!
Genny brought in some wonderfully shaped rocks that she found on the beach and Ria brought in some Pigface fruit for the children to try.

The children really enjoyed the Pigfruit and this opened a discussion about bush tucker and how Indigenous Australians were hunters and gatherers.

We then used our new paint pens to decorate our rocks!! They looked amazing!

Today our Seeds finally got to plant their giant sunflower seeds!! It was what they missed most about our old gardens and Genny was kind enough to stop into greenpatch and pick some up for us!
We focused on the children's interest in Lego and the older children designed some characters and personalities for them which we helped to write about, they then drew wonderful pictures of their characters.
A big thankyou to Jordan for bringing in ingredients and teaching us how to make his 3 ingredient scones! To quote the children, "they taste like God!"
Today was a bitter-sweet farewell to Amelia who is setting off on a new overseas journey with her family! We will truly miss your infectious laugh and are greatful for getting to meet you and your beautiful family! We wish you the best of luck on your new adventure!

Today we reread our Nature Ninja story! We CAN all make a difference in our own small way!!!
Nature Ninja helped us to plant the first seedlings in our new vegetable garden!! We can't wait to watch them grow!
Thanks to Greta and Maryanne for coming in to teach music, today we focused on music theory, beats and the importance of team work and listening to each other in a band!

Genny and I want to express our gratitude and appreciation for the amazing Tim Carroll, donating his time and energy to come in today and build our vegetable garden!!!
Seeds just hasn't been the same without our kitchen/garden program, and we cannot wait to get back into it!!!!
Today the children helped to build a shaded green house for our seedling trays! It definitely was team work!!!
