At around 9:15am this morning, Taree Pumper was paged to Stevenson Lane to assist our friends at Fire and Rescue NSW with a structure fire.

Taree Brigade provided additional CABA operators from both Taree and Tinonee Brigades, assisting crews at the scene where needed.

It was a great example of emergency services and local brigades working together as a team to help keep our community safe.

A big thank you to all the crews involved this morning for their hard work and commitment. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš’

Today, members of Taree Brigade took part in an emergency exercise at Taree Airport.

Exercises like this are a great way for our members to put their training and skills into practice, while working alongside other emergency services and agencies from around our local area.

Itโ€™s also a great opportunity to build relationships, improve communication and learn how we can work together during an emergency.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make todayโ€™s exercise a valuable training opportunity.

Weโ€™re proud to be part of our local community and to continue working together to help keep our community safe. โค๏ธ๐Ÿš’

๐Ÿš’ Taree Brigade will be conducting a Pile burn in the Kolodong area on Friday 31st of July.

Hazards Reduction and pile burns are an important part of getting ready for the fire season. They help our volunteers practise their skills, check that our equipment is working as it should and ensure weโ€™re prepared to respond when our community needs us most.

If youโ€™re in the Kolodong area, you may notice smoke during the day. Please donโ€™t be alarmed, as this is part of a planned and controlled burn.

If you are planning a burn yourself please ensure you follow the RFS Safe burn guidelines https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/plan-and-prepare/farm-fire-safety/safeburning

Thank you for your continued support of Taree Brigade and all of our volunteers. Stay safe, and if you see our crews out and about, donโ€™t forget to give them a friendly wave! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿš’

There are simple things you can do to make sure you use fire safely on your property and avoid becoming the fire risk to your community.

๐Ÿšจ National AusAlert Test Reminder

A quick reminder that a national test of the AusAlert emergency warning system will take place (approx 2pm).

If you receive a test Emergency Alert on your mobile phone, please donโ€™t be alarmed. This is a planned test designed to ensure Australiaโ€™s emergency warning system continues to operate effectively when itโ€™s needed during real emergencies.

Taking a moment to read the test message will help you become familiar with how emergency warnings are delivered and what to expect in the event of a real emergency.

Being prepared starts with staying informed.

This is only a test.

AusAlert may increase risk for people experiencing violence, especially if they live with someone who uses violence. Alerts may expose safety devices.

๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿš’ What a colourful way to spend the day!

Today Taree Brigade had a blast supporting the Community Colour Run at Purfleet for NAIDOC Week.

Our crew was on hand to spray plenty of water along the course, helping everyone cool off while adding even more fun to an already amazing event.
It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces covered in colour, cheering each other on and enjoying a day filled with laughter, community spirit, and celebration.

A huge thank you to everyone who organised this wonderful event and to everyone who came along to make it such a memorable day.

We were proud to be part of it and can't wait for the next one!

Happy NAIDOC Week! ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–คโค๏ธ
