We are excited to announce that the Valley Youth September School Holiday Activities Program is now available!

We have a fantastic 2 week schedule planned, with a variety of fun engaging and meaningful experiences for everyone to enjoy in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

Days and bookings are expected to fill quickly. We encourage families to RSVP or secure their bookings via email by Friday, 11 September to avoid missing out.

🎉 🎉 CELEBRATING 10 YEARS WITH BRADY 🎉🎉

Today we’re celebrating Brady and his fantastic 10 years of service with Valley Industries!

Brady currently works five days a week with the team at Valley Linen. Known for his sporty nature, love of a good laugh and his ability to know just about everyone, Brady brings plenty of personality to the workplace.

Outside of work, Brady is a keen sports man, representing Valley in touch football with the Valley Vipers, the Northern Eagles and the Newcastle Knights Game Changer program. Brady also competes in the Special Olympics ten-pin bowling. Whether he’s at work or out on the sporting field, Brady loves being part of the action and catching up with his mates.

Congratulations, Brady, and thank you for 10 wonderful years of dedication, teamwork and friendship. We’re proud to have you as part of the Valley family!

🏈🏈 FOOTY FANS SUPPORT BEANIES FOR BRAIN CANCER 🏈🏈

The 2026 Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) Beanies for Brain Cancer NRL round was a huge success with the community raising $3.8 million, bringing the total raised for brain cancer research to $33.5 million over the last decade.

An intrepid group of footy fans, Mitch, Craig and Paulie joined in the fundraising efforts at the NRL game in Newcastle with the Knights playing the Tigers.

The boys helped the great cause by all purchasing a new beanie and wearing these proudly at the game. The day was capped off with Bradman Best scoring a spectacular length-of-the-field try with 5mins to go to win the match for the Knights

Well done Mitch, Craig and Paulie for supporting such a great cause!

The Rainbow Warriors Football Club is a fantastic local soccer program created specifically for children and young people aged 5–18 years who are on the autism spectrum or have additional support needs.

Whether your child has played before or is giving soccer a go for the very first time, Rainbow Warriors FC is all about having fun, building confidence, making friends and being part of a team in a safe and supportive environment.

⚽ FREE uniform, program facilitation and supervision
🤝 A welcoming, inclusive environment
⭐ Opportunities to build confidence and social skills
🌭 A community sausage sizzle after each session

🖤🧡CELEBRATING GREG ~ LIVING HIS BEST LIFE 🧡🖤

We're incredibly proud to see Greg featured in the 'Live Your Best Life' exhibition, celebrating older members of our community who continue to live with purpose, connection and joy.

Many people know Greg as the Wingham Tigers' No. 1 supporter, always there to lend a hand, cheer on the team and be part of the club he loves. But we're also lucky to know him as a valued member of the Valley Industries family.

Greg has worked with Valley Industries for more than 40 years and still comes to work three days a week. He loves catching up with everyone, having a chat with his mates and being part of the team. His positivity, sense of humour and friendly nature make him a much-loved part of our workplace.

Congratulations, Greg, on this wonderful recognition. We're so proud to see your story being shared with the wider community.

TRENT JENNISON AWARDED OAM: A Legacy That Lives On

Valley Industries is proud to acknowledge the posthumous award of a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) to our former Chief Executive Officer, Trent Jennison, in recognition of his service to community health, people with disability and social welfare.

This honour is a fitting recognition of a man who dedicated his whole working life in the service of helping others and who always showed genuine care and concern in the lives staff, participants, families and community members, often going above and beyond.

As CEO of Valley Industries from 2011 to 2022 Trent was bold, courageous and determined proving that obstacles were just opportunities not yet realised. His achievements in business whilst significant, were driven by his vision to provide meaningful opportunities in employment, housing and community inclusion for people living with disability.

Within Valley Industries Trent’s legacy will live on. His impact has had a profound positive effect on hundreds of people in employment programs, supported homes, inclusive social and community programs and health services. His vision, courage and determination continue to inspire the values that guide our organisation today.
