Didnt get many photos today but thanowring members Dylan, Lee, Aiden and Kelly helped with HR burn at Lake Cowal.
We also had Mitigation members, Ungarie Brigade , Drone operator Nathan, Group Officer Trevor and support members Rob & Bree.
Cameron did a great job of organising and lots was learnt and fun for all of us to catch up
Didnt quite get whole thing done but hopefully we'll get to do again.
Huge thank you also to Evolution members that also were involved.
Was awesome to see some of Lake Cowal Mine from outside as I had never been out that way but I will say the road was very bouncy.

This Saturday, between 10 am and 2 pm, our friends at Temora Fire and Rescue NSW are hosting their annual Open Day, where you can get up close to their fire trucks, explore their stations and speak with firefighters.

Yesterday's training involved understanding how to approach a burning car correctly and drafting as well as filling from one truck to another.
Was great turn out and huge thank you for Dylan, Cameron and Gav for organising.

Today our hearts hang heavy with the dreadful news that 2 Marine Rescue NSW members have sadly died while undertaking a rescue operation last night at Ballina.

Its always awesome to see people we work with get awards. Today 6 members of Bland Temora Rural Fire Service were presented with citation for service for their professional service to a tragic and complex incident.
These blokes are awesome to work with and its a well deserved recognition.

Today we recognise St Florian’s Day, honouring the patron saint of firefighters and the courage, dedication, and sacrifice shown by firefighters around the world.

At Thanowring Station, we are proud to serve our community, by always being prepared for anything to protect the irreplaceable.

Like guardians of peace in a galaxy far, far away, firefighters operate as a team, rely on training and skill, and answer the call when duty demands it, because protecting the community is always the mission.

Today we also acknowledge firefighters everywhere who put themselves on the line to keep others safe, as well as the families, friends, and support crews who make that service possible.
