Station 457 had an early morning call @ 12.45am to a building fire in Tenterfield. Crews got to work and took control of the fire with the appreciated assistance from Sunnyside RFS, NSW Police and NSW Ambulance Service....well done to all involved.

With the gremlins at home for the next two weeks, now is the time to reinforce important fire safety tips at home.

One metre from the heater isn’t just a catchy phrase, radiant heat can easily ignite items placed too close to a heat source, especially synthetic clothing hung up to dry or in the case of the photo, a pile of wood stored inside. Always keep the area clear and never leave the heater going unattended.

Have a chat to your kids about what to do in an event of an emergency, test your smoke alarms and remember- get out, stay out and call 000 immediately!

FRNSW Station 457 were called to two concecitive, two car MVA (motor vehicle accident) incidents on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons this week. NSW police and NSW Ambulance also responded to these incidents and thankfully on both occasions no persons were injured.....
