Green Gully Reserve's nature playspace was designed to sit lightly into an existing bushland setting in Victoria, using our Origin' natural wood range to create a play experience that feels discovered rather than built. Climbing trails, balancing logs and natural-form play elements were laid out to preserve as much existing vegetation as possible, while still meeting full EN1176 compliance and the practical durability a public reserve demands.

Nature play is one of the fastest-growing briefs we receive from local government right now, and Green Gully is a good demonstration that "natural looking" and "built to last outdoors" are not mutually exclusive.

Childcare and early learning projects need a different design conversation to a public reserve. At AMIGA Montessori Maddingley, the brief was shaped around the centre's Montessori philosophy: open-ended, sensory-rich play that supports independent exploration rather than equipment that dictates a single way to play.

We worked with the centre to select and configure equipment that fit both their pedagogical approach and their site's footprint. For childcare and early learning centre operators, this is a reminder that a good playground supplier should be asking about your educational philosophy as part of the brief, not just your budget and square metreage.
