Riverbank Public School opened in Term 1, 2015 and is located in the suburb of The Ponds in the north-west of Sydney. Set within spacious, landscaped grounds, and offering state of the art facilities, the school shares a site with The Ponds High School and is part of an innovative and energetic community approach to teaching and learning. Our rapidly student population is 1930, 89% of whom have a

language background other than English. The school has three Multi Categorical K-6 support classes and encourages a holistic and inclusive approach supported by strong student wellbeing programs. Our Restorative Practice Framework provides a common language and practice to build respectful relationships, and foster effective communication with students, staff, parents and the wider community.

2EJ have had an incredible few weeks, enthusiastically celebrating Book Week and Science Week. They enjoyed dressing up as book characters, completing fun science experiments with static electricity, and learning to program beebots. In writing, students focused on editing, using Rory's Writing Wall and CUPS bookmarks to improve their work and build confidence.

We are looking forward to acknowledging JERSEY DAY tomorrow. We are encouraging all students and staff to wear their favourite sporting jersey to school on this day, to raise awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

This day is all about raising awareness – students are NOT required to bring in a gold coin donation.

Celebrating Our Amazing SASS Staff!

This SASS Week, we take the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible School Administrative and Support Staff who are such a vital part of our Riverbank Public School community.

Our SASS staff are often the first friendly faces you meet when entering RPS and play a key role in building strong relationships with our students, parents and wider community.

Working across our offices, classrooms, library and school grounds, our SASS staff help keep every aspect of our school running smoothly. From caring for our facilities and supporting students when they are unwell, to managing countless administrative tasks and providing invaluable support across the school, their contribution is felt every single day.

Their dedication, care, professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond make a wonderful difference to our students, staff and families. We are incredibly grateful for everything they do to make Riverbank such a welcoming, supportive and successful school.
