An update from Victory Village at Riverbend.

After nearly five years in the process, and with the guidance and hard work from a marvellous Town Planner, support from generous family, friends and followers, a we have reached Public Notification.

Putting this out here to the Universe, and Facebook as well… for family, friends, former colleagues, medievalists at heart, everyone, to hear my plea and help my family with something that is important to me.

Victory Village at Riverbend

My home, a destination, a way of life, a place that is preserving and recreating the past, a place that others also feel at home, needs funding to progress to meet development needs of State and local governments.

The amount of money that is now due is much, much greater than initially expected.

My family and friends are helping to pay money along this process, and I cannot thank them enough.

For Victory Village at Riverbend to move forward at this time, $14500 is needed to pay fees owing. This money is to be paid as soon as possible. A massive amount of money.

What started as a vision twelve years ago is so very close to becoming an Australian first.

That is why I am seeking help. A vision can come to fruition with hard work and enthusiasm, yet money helps.

Progress is slow yet we’re still moving forward.

Town Planner, Nadine, is working conscientiously with local and state government in obtaining permits and approvals for Material Change of Use application.

At this time, financial assistance is much needed for our project to move ahead. The next six months will see greater move forward and hopefully, receive final approval for the Village to reopen for visitors.

Mother Nature has deemed that South East Queensland needed more rain this week.

130 mm from Tuesday to Friday lunchtime. 200+ mm overnight ( the supersonic, modern weather station has stopped recording) and more rain continues to fall.

This is a short video of Glenbar Road creek crossing that you drive over, then turn left, to Riverbend Drive.

If it’s flooded, forget it. Stay safe.
