It’s that time of year again. The Tongala Brigade is running its annual wood raffle. The team at Bale up Hayfeeders/Firepits r us have, once again, generously donated a fire pit.

This is an important fundraiser as we are trying to raise funds to replace our aging Support vehicle which is brigade (community funded) owned, not CFA/government owned

Tickets are now available from Tongala Fire Brigade members as well as Tongala IGA, GTS, Tongala post office & the chemist 👍👩‍🚒🚒🔥🪵

The brigade has been informed that Coprice on Finlay Rd will be conducting a burn tomorrow (Saturday 18th April) from approx 7:00am until mid afternoon. Coprice staff will be onsite for the duration. Smoke and flames might be visible around the community. The Tongala Brigade will not be on site for the burn unless 000 is called

Tonight the Tongala fire brigade held their biannual elections. Thanks very much to all those who helped out over the last couple of years to keep the brigade running smoothly. And welcome to some new Brigade Management Team (BMT) members to take up their positions 1st July 👍🚒👩‍🚒👍

What a generous community we live in. Tongala SMASHED a new record! We managed to raise $10,682.80 for the Good Friday Appeal!!!

Good morning amazing community, Tongala Fire Brigade along with Tongala Girl Guides, and Tongala CERT will be out and about collecting for the Good Friday Appeal.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we may not be able to reach the outskirts of town, if you would like to donate please head down to the station.

Dig deep and have a safe Easter.

* Minimise the risk by protecting your hay from wet conditions. 💧
* Monitor stacks for changes in temperature. 🌡
* Protect your assets by limiting stack size and don't store bales along side machinery. 🚜
