Vale Don Bradbury

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our former Captain Don Bradbury. Don was a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and community member.

In Don’s words “my 10 years as the TV captain were probably some of the best times of my life. Working with a great community minded group of people who I can honestly say, any request I made of them was quickly carried out. I made many friends”

This morning the Toolern Vale CFA assisted a local resident with a small pile burn on his property.

The resident asked if the brigade could be present when he lights the burn to ensure it all goes well. The local resident registered the burn and lit it himself.

Our brigade was in attendance to ensure it all went well and gave the resident piece of mind knowing the brigade were there incase
something went wrong.

The burn went perfectly and we were only required for an hour!

Winter is the best time to be cleaning and preparing your property for the summer and fire season ahead!
