National Child Protection Week 2026 will run from 6–12 September 2026 across Australia. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the initiative, celebrating four decades of communities working together under the important message that “Protecting Children is Everybody’s Business” in Queensland.
As part of Queensland Child Protection Week, Act for Kids, Mercy Community Services, UnitingCare Queensland, St Vincent de Paul and Anglicare have come together to bring a series of events to our local communities.
Through this collaboration, our services will host four events across the week, creating opportunities to connect with children, families and community members, raise awareness about child safety and wellbeing, and turn conversations about protecting children into meaningful action.
We all have a role to play in creating communities where children are safe, supported, and able to thrive.
